Changes in Autumn

While I have lived in many places, it wasn’t until I moved to the Pacific Northwest that I started to really appreciate the seasonal changes.

Autumn in particular feels dramatic in Washington state. Thick fog rolls in as Japanese maples of all shapes and sizes transform into a wide spectrum of deep reds andvivid yellows. Mushrooms emerge in seemingly every shady nook, and the light and skies take on dramatic turns. The rain begins to set in for many months to come and the days get darker and shorter.

It can be easy to miss the summer if you’re longing all the fun things that happen in the months of July and August, but if you look closer at all the small and large changes happening all around and importantly, take time to enjoy them, this time is really unique

The photos were taken with both a Leica SL3 and a Hasselblad X3Dii. Can you spot the difference?
