I’m a big fan of the body of work Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang has been able to achieve. He uses fireworks and pigment to create ephemeral performances, which often have monumental scale, but also creates smaller, beautiful paintings via a similar process. Despite the explosive creative process, the result is fantastically elegant.

I wanted to see if Midjourney could expand on his work, and create some new situations. It was interesting how the results could replicate many qualities of his work even without including his name in prompts.
