West of Seattle
Living in the Pacific Northwest has many advantages, one being its idyllic summers, which inspire me to explore the many forests, lakes and beaches around the area.
These photographs were taken in Lake Crescent, just west of Port Angeles,WA. I couldn’t have wished for more amazing clear, blue skies that day. I enjoyed the hypnotic vistas around the vast lake with my daughter. A much-needed relief in a hot summer day.
We then ventured further west to Rialto Beach near La Push. There, our goal was to capture some shots of the rocky structure at the very end called “Hole in the wall”, which would have made a beautiful sunset-lit shot. However, the tide came in sooner than we had expected and kept us from reaching it.
The photos were taken with a Leica SL3 camera and shot on 24mm Summilux and 50mm Noctilux.
